The second I walk into that classroom I am kind of expecting complete chaos. I have heard of crazy and funny elementary school stories where the classrooms are really overwhelming. I know with my ability to stay calm I'll be just fine. As well, I know the teacher I am with will give me advice on how to lead the students through their daily work. Gaining patience is something I am looking forward too. At times it can definitely be difficult when working with younger children as they may need more explanation and so on. Along with this, I want to learn to love those children who can be challenging to take care of at times. I am thrilled that I have this opportunity to shadow a teacher. I have the experience of being a student through my years of elementary school; but I have never been to the other side of the situation (being the teacher). Through this time of volunteering, I know I will be so much on how to be a great teacher and enhance on my capabilities that I already obtain. I will be attending the elementary school in roughly two to three weeks and I am counting down the days until then!
